Day Twenty Eight

Day twenty eight: A picture of something you're afraid of.

Day Twenty Seven

Day twenty seven: A picture of yourself and a family member.

My sister Kierstin and myself. Here are 5 facts about us!

1. We are a year and a half and a day apart in age.

2. We shared a room for most of my life growing up.

3. We made up the "cupcake club" where we had to say cupcake every time we past a certain telephone pole (I still do it when I'm home sometimes)

4. We call each other "sister" even though we have 4 other sisters.

5. I miss her a lot.

Day Twenty Six

Day twenty six: A picture of something that means a lot to you.

My wedding ring. I love it.

Day Twenty Five

Day twenty five: A picture of your day.

(I would like to say this would have been on time but... well just keep reading and see why it's not)

I went to church this morning but didn't take a picture of that. When I got home I worked on things for the girls camp I am going to be at next week!

After dinner I watched the girls play in the basement. There were being rescuers and were swinging to save the ducks.

Then I was going to blog and go read but as I was uploading the pictures my power went out so I ended up having to pick everything up off the floor in the basement because it floods if the power is out (because the sub-pump can't run). When my husband got home we moved things even more and picked up the carpet. The power came back on like 3 hours later and luckily it didn't flood. Better safe than sorry I guess.

Day Twenty Four

Day twenty four: A picture of something you wish you could change.

I am a night owl. I have a hard time going to bed early and easily can be up way too late at night. The thing that I would change if I could is: my girls wake up at 6:30 am no matter when they go to bed.

The one exception to this rule is if my husband is going to be getting up with them that day. Then they sleep in. (Gumbel grumble.)

Day Twenty Three

Day twenty three: A picture of your favorite book.

This is a hard one. I love a lot of books but the one I normally say as my favorite is The Giver.

This post wouldn't be complete without me also saying how much I love Harry Potter.

...and the Hunger Games.

Day Twenty Two

Day twenty two: A picture of something you wish you were better at.

Musical things.

I am not very musical...at all. I would love to a good singer, play the piano and guitar but I can't even read music. For now I'll just listen and sing along in my car!

Day Twenty One

Day twenty one: A picture of something you wish you could forget.

I think that anything that has happened to me, helps make me who I am. If I forgot the bad in my life I wouldn't be able to know the good.

Day Twenty

Day twenty: A picture of a place you'd love to travel.

Italy

I have never really traveled anywhere but there are so many places I'd love to go. I look at pictures of places all over the world on Tumblr all the time. Here is a good one- just be careful... time disappears while looking at any Tumblr. :)

Day Eighteen

Day eighteen: A picture of your biggest insecurity.

Just one? For today I'll go with my weight. I know that people tend to gain weight as they get older but I've gained too much. Here is a reminder of what I looked like before I got married.

and now.

I could always use the "I had twins" excuse if I want to blame something... but that was three years ago. Now I just eat too much and don't get enough exercises. Like I said in yesterdays post- I am working on it.

Day Seventeen

Day seventeen: A picture of something that has made a huge impact on your life recently.

My husband and I have been working on becoming more healthy and lossing some weight! We try to go to the gym and eat better food. Things have been going well and I hope we can keep it up! (Chad is doing much better than I am!)I have found that I love to snack all day, so changing that has been my bigest problem.

(sorry Laura- I had to copy your idea. I couldn't think of anything else and it's getting late!)

Day Sixteen

Day Sixteen: A picture of someone who inspires you.

JK Rowling

"It is our choices Harry, that show what we really are, far more than our abilities."

I chose Jo Rowling not only because she wrote Harry Potter. She does a lot of work for charities,is a wonderful example of a strong woman and is a mother of three children. She has encouraged people all over the world to read, and obviously has a wonderful imagination.

Day Thirteen

Day thirteen: A picture of your favorite band or artist.

Well again I have a hard time picking a favorite- so I turned to my iTunes to help me out. According to the most played song here are my top two.

All Caps

I got to see them last fall in Ames. They are super fun band who I started listening to on YouTube. The music is upbeat and just fun. When I went to talk to them they were very sweet and Kristina even took the time to get her sparkly hats and let the girls wear them. I had great time and my girls had a lot of fun dancing too! I hope they can come back to Iowa soon. (my Mom listened to some of their music while she was visiting and liked it too!)

and the #2? Blink 182.

Yeah- I have a very wide variety in the music I like. I've listened to Blink since high school and still love it.

Day Eleven

Day eleven: A picture of something you hate.

The smell of fish. I don't think I really "hate" much. I don't like a lot of things- even the taste of fish I don't like but I don't know if I would say I hate it. Yet- the smell of fish makes me want to puke- and I *think* I hate puking too...

Day Ten

Day ten: A picture of your favorite sport.

For today I have the same response as my little sister. Great minds think alike! :)

Pole Vaulting

State track meet my senior year.

Volleyball

Senior year in high school

Second year in college (competitive league/inter murals)

I am finding that I just enjoy sports in general. Just this past month I went to my first soccer game and found that I liked watching it(I'm awful at playing it). We also went to a baseball game! There are still something I haven't had a chance to watched or tried yet like hockey. I'm a competitive person and I love cheering really loud.

Day Nine

Day nine: A picture of the person that has gotten you through the most.

My Mom. She has made me who I am today. When I was in high school, I would cry because my friends were being mean but I didn't want to tell her about it but she would always try and help me. She helped me make and memorise flash card for my history final, taught me how to balance my check book, been there to listen when I was depressed, and so much more. She has a big heart and cares so much about her family. I love you Mom.

Day Seven

Day seven: A picture of you and someone you'd be lost without.

I just love my girls. Being a stay at home mom, they are my world. I do go crazy sometimes when I only talk to almost three year olds all day, but it's what I do and I love it. I can't imagine not having them both. Twins can be hard but I am so lucky I got these two!
